Alison Baverstock, winner of Women in Publishing's 2007 Pandora award, will be talking about how marketing works in publishing, and the opportunities offered by the current marketing environment, in particular
Alison Baverstock is the author of How to Market Books, now in its fourth edition (January 2008) and often hailed as the bible of book marketing. Having worked as a publisher andauthor, with libraries, booksellers and all other areas of the book trade, Alison is now teaching Publishing at Kingston University. The perspective she offers is one of experience, wisdom and objectivity.
